Biography

Discussions and talking about nonsense, a peacefull place of earth, friends and a jar full of gold sparkling liquid. That's a winter evening how it's supposed to be. And this is Jar. Formed in such a situation and named after the container of the hop brew. It was somewhere around the new year of 2006.

"We should form a band." the One said. "Not your worst idea!" the Other. Both had the same specific vision of the band, they didn't have to settle for a music style because it was already set when they hadn't even thought of a band: Ska. The hearts of those pioneers had always pound half a beat before everybody elses, made them passionate listeners of offbeat music and constantly drove them to visit concerts. That's how Jar was formed. Fired by the Jamaican music of the early 60s.

Band members came and went. But as one reads in the fairy tales of old days: everything's gonna be allright! And so it is. The One and the Other - with a little help from their passion for offbeat music - managed to convince a Metal Head, a Blues Man and the Häbi to join them and the band. The basis was formed. That's how Jar was fired. Drove by themselves.

The days washed into the land. Days became weeks, weeks became months and eventually those months formed into years. Jar developped. From the fast ska to offbeat music. The 5-headed crew now also plays reggae and rocksteady on a regular basis and makes arms swing and legs rise. This drove Jar. And noone knows what's gonna stop them.
